Opening RStudio
Choose the options for your session.
R version: Choose the version of R to run this session (personal preference).
Number of hours: Choose the number of hours needed for this session. This includes the runtime for your script. If you do not know, choose 1 hour.
Number of cores: Choose the number of cores your script will use. If your script is not specifically made to utilize more than one core, choose 1 (otherwise, the additional cores will be wasted).
Amount of memory: Choose the amount of memory needed by your script. If you do not know, choose 4GB.
Job type: If your job is not interactive, select “normal.” If your job is interactive, select “interact.”
The email checkbox, extra modules, and cleaning active sessions box are all optional.
When you are done hit “Launch,” wait patiently, and then when it is available, click “Connect to RStudio Server.”
